The Tigris and Euphrates Rivers converge in present day Baghdad,
the place where chaos and death are now daily wrought upon the people.
My brain (cat scan, 1999) is sewn into this piece with red thread for the blood of the thousands.
Inside/through the transparent shapes of my brain is an image: a man. A life. Another lost.
The pencil drawing references the Smart Bombs that the US dropped upon Iraq in 2003.
